Morse:
After
a successful twelve years as a partner in a small West Marin contracting
firm, I became a licensed real estate agent in the spring of 1984.
I joined Zel Realty in Larkspur where I stayed for eight years,
becoming one of Zel's top agents. I have been a licensed broker
since 1990 and started my own company, Dan Morse Real Estate, in
the summer of 1992.
I have been an active member of the Marin Association of Realtors for nineteen years,
participating in board round tables as a moderator, and at membership meetings as a
speaker on the subject of country property and dual agency. I have served on the Realtor
Risk Reduction Committee and I have served on the Professional Standards Committee, for
over fifteen years, one as chair.
In my twenty years in real estate, I have listed and sold single-family homes,
condominiums, vacant lots, acreage, and ranch land in addition to having written
leases and performed property management for both single-family homes and apartment
buildings. I have sold property in most Marin County communities and find my experience
in the building industry an extremely valuable asset. Having a working knowledge of the
various county agencies, including planning, building and environmental health services,
is a valuable tool when assessing both buyer's and seller's concerns with the sale of
unincorporated Marin County property.
For the past fifteen years, I have concentrated my efforts exclusively in West Marin. According
to BAREIS MLS for Marin County, Dan Morse Real Estate has been the top producing office for
Inverness, Point Reyes Station, Marshall and Olema, for the past ten years, and I have been the
top individual agent in the county for the same period
I am an active member of the West Marin community. I served four years on the board The Dance Palace
Community Center, the final two as president during the construction of the new facility. I served
fifteen years on the Inverness Volunteer Fire Department, and have been on the Board of Directors of
the Inverness Association, and the Inverness Tennis Club. I currently serve on the board of directors
of our local radio station KWMR. In addition, I am a member of the West Marin Chamber of Commerce, and
The Environmental Action Committee of West Marin. I coached youth baseball, basketball and soccer from
1986-1992.
I
have been happily married for 34 years and have two grown
children and a grandchild.
